Singapore is South East Asia's business enterprise hub where more and more individuals prefer to visit and migrate. This fact has been proven by the increase in the country's population to five million, a figure that's twice its population in the past 30 years. As the population escalated, the number of transport companies in the country has also escalated.

The Lion City's transportation is composed of trains, taxis and busses. The MRT or Mass Rapid Transit plus LRT or the Light Rapid Transit are the main trains of the place. Both are quite efficient in its services. As a matter of fact, these train systems are commendable for their well-organized, cost-friendly and fast services particularly during peak hours. The only disadvantage of this mode of transportation is that it can be crowded time after time. If you're the commuter who prefers the comfort and privacy then taxi is the best way to go. Although, taxis can be a little bit pricey, it provides comfort and privacy that you wish. Another advantage of taking taxis is that, you will find no specific routes to be followed, as such is easy to stay away from traffic during the rush hours of the day.

For those who don't know, buses are the most common mode of transportation in Singapore. As a matter of fact, there are over fifty bus companies in the Lion City: Universal Transport Services, AA Translink Express, and Bedok Transport Pte Ltd among others. Public transportation, on the other hand, is operated by SBS Transit and SMRT.

In the Lion City, bus transportation services are distinguished based on routes. Some of the most common routes are Jurong Industrial Service, Express, Trunk, Fast Forward, Premium and Parks. Express is the bus route that stops at variety of stops then goes through the expressway hence a faster travel time. Jurong Industrial Service route on the other hand caters to commuters in Jurong and Tuas regions.

The bus route services that travel around the town is the trunk bus services. Fast forward route also travel around the town but with lesser stops. The bus route service that caters to the major parks to the nearest bus station for swapping buses is the Parks bus route. On the other hand, premium routes are services that offer trips from major towns to places such as Suntec City, Orchard Road and Shenton Way.
